Oily Emulsions
Intergulf’s experience in breaking and recycling oil emulsions is one that is founded
upon servicing many different industries. Since 1988, Intergulf has been breaking and
recycling oil emulsions generated at chemical plants, manufacturing facilities, and
marine operations. Intergulf analyzes each emulsion to create the exact chemical and
physical combinations needed to effectively break the water out of the oil. Once we
achieve physical separation, the oil phase is recovered into Intergulf’s industrial
burner fuels blending program and the water phase is sent through Intergulf’s wastewater
treatment system. Successful emulsion treatments have been developed for emulsions with
varying percentages of oil and water, varying pH levels, varying pour points, and varying
flash points, varying levels of solids.
